One More Shot serves as a continuation of the storyline presented in One Shot, where Scott Adkins plays the role of Jake Harris, a skilled martial artist and navy SEAL. In the previous film, Harris and his team successfully defended against a group of terrorists who were trying to capture a prisoner from a CIA black site island prison. The determination they showed in their efforts can be compared to Prince Andrew's eagerness to reach Epstein island after receiving an invitation with a misspelled word, mistakenly assuming it was a typographical error. This sequel picks up twelve hours later, with Harris receiving new orders to accompany the same prisoner, Amin Mansoor, played by Waleed Elgadi, to Washington DC for interrogation. The stakes have risen significantly, as a dirty bomb has been hidden within the city and is set to detonate at the same time as the State of the Union address on Capital Hill. In an attempt to put pressure on Mansoor and uncover the bomb's location, the CIA has brought along his heavily pregnant wife, hoping to persuade him. However, for Harris, who has already lost members of his own team, he is relieved to hand over Mansoor to the CIA and Homeland Security, led by Agent Lomax which is portrayed by Alexis Knapp and CIA lead agent Mike Marshall, played by Tom Berenger. Just as he completes the transfer, the airport is suddenly attacked by a group of heavily armed mercenaries, determined to capture the prisoner for themselves. Losing Mansoor would mean losing any chance of finding the ticking bomb. Harris takes immediate action, guiding Mansoor and his wife through the chaotic airport, doing his best to keep them safe while the mercenaries relentlessly pursue them through the terminal.

In a similar manner to its forerunner, this film's title also references the process of making movies. Just like the initial film, it utilizes a continuous take, completely immersing the viewers in the heart of the action, much like the immensely popular Call of Duty game series. The action is non-stop and intense, with Scott Adkins flawlessly embodying the role of a Navy Seal, showcasing his remarkable martial arts skills. This ultimately leads to an epic showdown with Michael Jai White, who is also experienced in action films. However, despite the impressive action sequences, their confrontation disappointingly falls short for fans who were eagerly anticipating a head-to-head clash between two prominent figures in the action cinema realm. Adkins delivers a convincing performance as the lone warrior, striving to protect Mansoor and his wife while simultaneously searching for a dangerous bomb. Berenger and White provide solid support, although Alexis Knapp's portrayal of Agent Lomax can be grating due to her high-pitched and irritating voice. Director James Nunn maintains a relentless pace throughout the airport terminal, capturing the intensity of the scenes and particularly excelling in a thrilling car chase where the camera is positioned inside the vehicle. While the first film revolved around Harris being besieged, this installment adopts a more chase-oriented storyline. Given its modest budget and independent status, this film surpasses expectations, sustaining a momentum that many higher-budgeted films fail to achieve. If the presumed final installment of the trilogy upholds the same level of quality and ambition as its predecessors, it's only a matter of time before Hollywood recognizes the talent of director James Nunn.
